Idea and Concept 2

At last...i manage to have a few of research topic and idea...So I proudly present to the lecturers about what i had planned to do and the list below are the same list that i brought to the lecturers for the consultation and approval...

Research Topic :

1) How to present the culture of Silat Melayu trough Multimedia
2) How to attract teenage to learn Silat Melayu trough Multimedia
3) How to put the feeling of love to Silat Melayu to audience trough Multimedia
4) How to put the curiosity about Silat Melayu and the feeling of love to the country to the teenage

Idea for Video

1) My First Idea for my FYP is making a short VFX video that will tell about a man who lived in 1950-1960 who is really love and like silat. He is never bored and give up in training this beautiful and fantastic malay martial art and culture. This man is actually a young man who is around 20-30 years old. In this short video, I will show the young man training and training at difference location and evey scene will show he is training different skills at different place. My motive for this video is to tell young generation now that this culture is really a very good thing to learn and to follow. I will combine both physicall and inside energy skills to give variety and some exegerration into this video.

2) Actually this idea inspired by reading history book. In that book, it tells how this Silat culture being used by most of Malay in Tanah Melayu to fight with British, Japanese, and Communist just to protect their religion, race and country. This is why I think teenagers now have to learn this Silat Melayu to prevent it from missing from this world. This idea is about to show and tell how useful this SIlat in that time for protect the family, village and also to counter-attack the foreign power from taking the country. This story basically will take one big name from history book and the story will be arrange according to the history about the selected man. Since i'm not planning to do realistic history movie, I decided to use the history as a guideline only and will not make the 100% as written in history. Most of the scene will show on how Silat teach us to be brave, leader,to protect and also to control ourself

3) This story will show the different between young Malay now and young Malay at 1940-1960. This movie will be divided into two parts which the first part will show, how teenagers nowadays spent their time doing nothing but having fun and get nothing at the end. This idea is actually can be presents in two ways. The first way is an old man come to the group of 4-5 males whis is just 'lepaking' at the roadside and singing. The old man then advised the group and then compare them with the young man at 1940-1960.While the young man listen to the old man, the visual will show accordingly to what the old man tell. The second idea is while the group of 5 young males walking without any purpose, suddenly by anyway, they are accidentally get into the past world and while they are at that world, confusing, an old man approach them and adopted them as a student and give them a Silat Melayu movement.

WOWW!!!!!.....5 research topics and 3 Ideas....not bad right??...maybe i made a mistake by considering that the ideation part is the most difficult part...and the hardest thing to do. I've changed my perception about ideation and after doing this i really believe that the ideation is not that difficult and easy to do. That perception remain untill i went to consult the lecturers and right after i came out from the lecturers room i going back to my old perception which the ideation part is the most difficult part to do.hahaha...WHY???...this is what happen in the lecturers room

Idea :

1) there is no impact to audience...just a silat show....what is so special about this idea??..
2) the story is hard to tell in 2 minutes. Nothing Special. It is just like war and the Silat is not really expose.....
3) too long for 2 minutes video. the story will make the Silat scene short. The audience are hard to understand....

ARRGhhh...so the result is none of 5 research topics and 3 Ideas being approved and thats mean i have to go back and do it again and again and again...
